I seem to love every story Sherryl Wood’s writes. Her characters are fun and interesting. Most of them are people I would enjoy as friends. Her places seem like cities and towns that are populated by businesses and people who I would expect to meet if I lived in the town and I can understand the issues and problems they confront. Most of all I expect her characters to do the right thing, even if that means going against their own interests. In other words, Sherryl creates a world where you know people want to do the right thing, my world may not be like that, but I often wish it were.Product details

Great read, good story line.
I have read most of this authors books. And this one meets my expectations. It was great. I couldn't wait to read the second one in this series. The characters are great and you grow to love them. I have also read the second one in this series. Yup, just as good. Better go buy it!
Great read, exciting. Particularly liked the magnetic draw of Megan to Tess and the other children needing love and care.
This book was super. Everyone worked hard to improve home, relationships while trying to figure out the how come, when did this happen, why didn't someone tell me. The characters were strong driven people fighting for principles which seems to point a lot to owners of ranchers or farms. Couldn't put it down, had to replug to charge battery.
This is a great story. I liked the plot and the storyline never dragged. I didn't read it straight through in a couple of days. But it held my interest throughout, from beginning to end. If Me. Woods writes a follow-up to this I will definitely buy it. Thanks Ms. Woods for sharing your God given talent.
Sherryl Woods develops good characters, and her plots are way beyond the normal love story paperback genre. In this book, she weaves several dramas and introduces us to life challenges, without creating a dark realism, that I try to avoid when I'm reading for pleasure.
The heroine is a strong but vulnerable woman, who battles choices between career and family. There are life lessons in this for almost all of us.
megan o'rourke, new york media sensation, is called home due to her grandfather's (tex) death. whispering wind, wyoming is the last place she wants to be but duty calls and she loved her grandfather!!!! he raised her when her mother dropped her off one day when she was very little. jake landers has returned to whispering wind a successful lawyer and had been contacted by tex to write his will and execute it's contents. megan goes home to find an aunt (tess who is about 8 or 9) she didn't know she had and jake who she loved in the past and felt betrayed by when her grandfather accused him of stealing some cattle. finding the truth about that and more she is put in a tailspin trying to deal with her new york business (a martha stewart-type of business) and the things she has to deal with in whispering winds. her aunt has been dropped off with her grandfather and he and her mother signed official papers that is she is his.
